We have hit Zanzibar!!

We have just arrived in Zanzibar in Stone Town and it is really hot!!
All a bit weid of a place but we have not taken the opportunity to look round. Thought ot put a new post on. Have been tryuing to do so over the last week but internet not avaialable or really slow.

Spent the last week in Malawi. Very nice country and very poor. People were friendly and kids were very cute, but constatnly asking for money.

Not checking spelling as costing me and time is running out - it has taken me 15 minutes to get here to be able to send something.

Spent most of the camp sites on the shores of lake Malawi, it is about 800 km long. Swam most days and felt like the sea as there are golden sands, waves and you can't see to the other side of the lake.

Xmas and New Year passed without much fuss

Spent 14 hours in the truck travelling yesterday, long day but very senic. Went through a national park and saw elephants, giraffes, zebra and warthog.

Michelle, nice to see that you can cope shopping by yourself - I need the perfumesthat you and Sue want me to get, no prob getting them just need their names and ml size and if they are perfume or the tolet stuff.

Will be looking at tanzanites in Arusha and keen to buy
