It's 7.20pm Joberg time. Arrived at hotel at 6.07pm just in time for pretour meeting - could not have timed it better. Both well but VERY tired, sore lgs and a bit light headed. Tour is small starting with 13 people until vic falls then lose 7 and gain 2 I think - end up with 7 in total from Vic falls to the end - all seem to be chicks from Vic falls, driver and tour leader are male and Ozzie.
Drama in Dubai airport that took 1/2 hour to sort and don't think it is. Got charged $13 each for a shower. Not knowing anything about UAE currency we assumed it was in UAE currency. When got cedit card receipt purchase it had US$. Told them I wanted a refund as we did not get told currency was US. Managers of hotel in Dubai got involved. Then they told me they were busy people and that they had more to do than deal with me. My issue was that I refused to sign unless I got a reversal of the charge. They could not do a reversal on tehir systm. Never signed receipt - got a bit stressful and pretty much left thinking credit card may still get charged - oh well.
Dubai airport very busy and people sleep anywhere and I mean anywhere.
Plane flights good. Had to wait 20 hours fora a coffee -each time lady came round with coffee, as soon as she got to us the seatbelt sign came on and she could not serve.
Everything fine.

Crikey - sounds like you are having dramas already. Have thought of you two whilst the weekend has been passing - wondering how sore your legs and arses were.
Hmmm- sounds like the most expensive shower in recorded history. Hope it was a hot and long one!! Seems that the other side of the world won't be forgetting the big blonde bitch in a hurry.
Great weather today - Sunday, but windy as hell yesterday. Knocked off a fair bit of shopping at Borders with 1/2 price vouchers. Did some gardening. have I said how much I love our back yard?
Look forward to hearing more of your adventures soon. Hope the tour starts well and that the people on it with you aren't irritating.

Dubai airport has a pretty new terminal eh! We were pretty impressed with it when we went through. Mind you that was 5 years ago now.
How long did you have to wait there before your flight to Joberg?
I am guessing that you will be out of contact a bit during your tour of the outback(so to speak), so have an enjoyable time and heres hoping that all goes well for you here on in.

Nice one, all those chicks and I am left at school when I could be putting the moves on. Last day today, and for your information, the shit internal in level 2 is being moderated. Will have it sorted by the time you get back. Told the newbies that they can contact you here for help over the holidays.

Last official day of school today - lunch etc but am in tomorrow helping to induct a new person.
Weather fluctuating wildly here - cool and showery - 15 at times and up to 35 yesterday.
Amanda said Rascal is fine - has taken a shine to Daniel - so all is good there. Keeping your $350 investment safe and sound.
Hope Don has a happy birthday on the 13th - we were thinking of him - but we are so retarded that I'm not sure whether the date coincided with the outback of Africa.
